The United States Postal Service (USPS) has agreed to purchase six battery-electric vehicles from high-tech advanced mobility company Canoo. The right-hand-drive LDV 190 vehicles will be delivered in the first quarter of 2024.
The vehicles will leverage Canoo’s patented technologies to deliver enhanced functionality, safety and ergonomics.
“The multipurpose platform with steer-by-wire technology and a unique low-profile suspension system allows for a readily configurable right-hand-drive system while maintaining desired roll and ride stability,” said Tony Aquila, investor, executive chairman and CEO of Canoo.
USPS is electrifying and modernizing its delivery fleet as part of its US$40bn investment strategy to upgrade and improve its processing, transportation and delivery networks.
