Whistl has launched a Fuel Carbon Calculator to help its bulk mail customers reduce their carbon footprint by opting to use hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) rather than diesel for the collection and trunking of mail.
Using the Fuel Carbon Calculator, customers can establish the number of liters of fuel used to transport their mail and then calculate what CO2 could be saved by using HVO rather than diesel.
Nick Wells, executive chairman, Whistl, said, “Cutting carbon in logistics is tough due to the nature of the industry but that does not stop us taking steps that will not only benefit Whistl but also our customers. Through the Fuel Carbon Calculator, customers can establish how they can reduce their CO2 by using HVO to help meet their net zero commitments.”
UK bank NatWest is the launch customer for the new calculator.
