Australia Post (AusPost) has appointed former ANZ Bank and McDonald’s Corporation senior executive Catriona Noble as the new executive general manager of retail.
Reporting to Paul Graham, group CEO and managing director of AusPost, Noble will oversee the organization’s network of 4,320 post offices.
Noble spent 31 years with the McDonald’s Corporation, where she helped expand the restaurant chain throughout Australia, with a focus on product development, customer advocacy and collaborating closely with franchisees. She worked her way through all facets of the business and served as the CEO of McDonald’s Australia from 2010 to 2014.
At ANZ, she drove the transformation of the bank’s retail division while reshaping the footprint of the bank’s branch network.
Commenting on Noble’s appointment, Graham said, “Over the past two years, we have seen how important our post office network has been in helping small businesses, connecting communities and building resilience. Our licensed post offices as well as our corporate post offices provide essential services for mail, parcels, financial services plus an expanding range of other services for the community.
“With her extensive customer experience working at McDonald’s Corporation and ANZ Bank, Catriona has the right skills, personality and energy to grow and evolve our post office network.”
Noble’s appointment is the latest in a number of recent executive-level appointments at AusPost. This month (January), Leonie Valentine will begin her role as executive general manager of customer experience and digital. In December 2021, Tanny Mangos joined as executive general manager of community, sustainability and stakeholder engagement.
