Royal Mail has extended the acceptance times for its Royal Mail Tracked 48 service for registered business customers.
Businesses can now have their parcels collected or dropped off up to 11:59pm on any working weekday for delivery within two working days. These later collection times have been implemented to better meet the needs of the UK’s 24/7 retailers and their customers.
The Tracked 48 service is available to any Royal Mail business customer sending more than 1,000 parcels per year or sending more than fifty Tracked 48 parcels in one go.
As part of the Tracked 48 service, Royal Mail will collect parcels from the customer’s location or they can use drop-off centers at mail centers and regional distribution centers across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The extended acceptance hours are in operation Monday to Friday throughout the year excluding bank holidays. The Royal Mail Tracked 48 service previously accepted parcels up to 5:00pm or 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, depending on the despatch location.
Nick Landon, managing director, Royal Mail Parcels, said, “Royal Mail is a proud partner for British business. We work hard to listen and respond to the needs of our customers. We understood that later acceptance could make the difference between satisfied customers and delighted customers and we are very pleased to be helping companies to deliver exceptional service to their shoppers. This latest product enhancement is one more way that Royal Mail is building a better delivery service for British businesses and consumers alike.”
