ipostparcels, part of the UK Mail Group, has launched its new Depot-to-Depot service which aims to provide a cost effective solution for consumers and SMEs to send and receive parcels.
The Depot-to-Depot service allows customers to drop a parcel at their local depot with the recipient collecting the parcel from a designated depot the following day. The recipient will receive a notification once the parcel has been shipped, advising them of the chosen destination depot and the date the parcel will be available for collection.
There are 55 participating depots located throughout the UK meaning that consumers and SMEs within a convenient range can take advantage of the cost effective solution. Prices start from £1.99 (US$3) for small/light items and increase in price up to XXL parcels.
Ros Hunt, marketing director, ipostparcels, said, “This is an extension of our Drop-at-Depot initiative which is used regularly by a third of our customers. Following a customer feedback session, we decided to offer a more comprehensive Depot-to-Depot service and expand upon the savings that our customers can achieve. We have already established drop-off points that our customers are able to utilize, so the foundations were already in place.”
