DPD has teamed up with Cleveron, joining its Collect.Net shared network of parcel terminals to begin using Cleveron’s PackRobots.
The Cleveron PackRobot is a new-generation robotics-based parcel terminal offering, and a click-and-collect parcel delivery solution for retail, e-tail and logistics sectors. Using robotics technology and cloud-based software, it is designed for high-volume parcel delivery.
The Collect.Net network consists of eight PackRobots installed in four cities in Estonia, and works on the principle of a shared network. This means that any courier company can use the terminals for their deliveries. PackRobots are also available for online stores and end consumers, who have the possibility to use these as hand-over points.
Rainer Rohtla, CEO of DPD, said, “Joining Cleveron’s Collect.Net network of robotics-based parcel terminals brings us closer to our customers. Everyone is able to choose whether they receive their parcel from DPD parcel locker, pick-up parcel point or Cleveron PackRobot.
“In addition to the expansion of our network, cooperation with Cleveron provides us with innovation that is one of DPD’s priorities when considering the growth of e-commerce.”
