Direct Entry Solutions (DES), a mail distribution provider and owner of PacketPort, a parcel delivery service, has announced the launch of an ETOE (extraterritorial office of exchange) operation with Austrian Post in the UK.
The ETOE underscores DES’s commitment to the wholesale market by building a premium wholesale solution in co-operation with Austrian Post. The wholesale market includes printers, mailing houses, fulfillment centers, mail consolidators and post rooms. The new service will start at the beginning of July 2015.
The agreement means Austrian Post will provide key advantages to DES’s wholesalers by increasing the range of value-added and high quality products available to them. The cooperation will enable DES clients to reach international markets through access to Austrian Post’s extensive global distribution network directly from the UK, leading to shorter delivery times.
Phil Coleman, chief executive at DES, said, “We are thrilled to be giving wholesalers access to Austrian Post’s unrivalled expertise and efficiency. It fulfils our ambitions to provide a first of its kind, comprehensive and high quality service to the wholesale market.”
Thomas Auböck, senior vice president, key and business accounts, mail and branch network division, Austrian Post, added, “We are very pleased to be offering our international mail products and services in the UK with a direct access to our global network. The UK is an important market and DES is a respected player and a reliable partner of Austrian Post. We see a major opportunity here with DES to offer wholesalers a viable and trusted postal service.”
