Express transportation company Seur will build a €3m (US$3.27m) logistics center in Las Salinas, in El Puerto de Santa María in Spain.
The 3,500m2 center will occupy a 9,500m2 plot. It will be equipped with a cold chamber for the management of temperature-controlled shipments, and have five docks for trailers and 70 for vans. The company intends to centralize all its activity in the area, meaning all e-commerce customer shipments will be managed from these facilities. Seur plans to inaugurate these facilities, located in the industrial park of Las Salinas, by December 2023.
Fernando Lora, Cadiz manager for Seur, said, “Our commitment to this region responds to the economic growth that it has experienced in recent years. El Puerto de Santa María is the perfect hub for our operations in the south of Spain. From this center, we will provide service to thousands of customers in Andalucía and we will optimize our operations in the area.”
Germán Beardo, mayor of El Puerto de Santa María, added, “This example of innovation and vanguard contributes to promoting the brand of El Puerto with the construction of an infrastructure and equipment that will have the most modern technology.”
