Greek parcel delivery firm Skroutz Last Mile has completed the installation of 1,000 SwipBox Infinity lockers, improving the pick-up and drop-off (PUDO) options for its customers.
The lockers have been installed to cater to Greek online consumers, the majority of whom prefer delivery in a parcel locker to home delivery. Starting with 100 lockers in March 2022, Skroutz Last Mile has now installed 1,000 lockers in Athens alone.
Stefanos Katsimpas, business director at Skroutz Last Mile, said, “With the Infinity locker, we don’t have to choose between quality of service and efficiency. We can deliver both. Our focus is on providing excellent service when it comes to delivering goods through e-commerce. Things move fast in the world of online shopping, and we need to be adaptable. That’s why we went with the Infinity parcel lockers, which can be installed anywhere in just 10 minutes, allowing us to scale our network when needed. It doesn’t get more flexible than that.”
Kasper Cort, SwipBox CCO, added, “It’s been an extremely exciting and educational process for us to work with a partner that owns the whole customer journey from e-commerce to parcel delivery. We were excited to see how our lockers would fare in Greece, which is such a different market from the Nordics. What we’ve seen so far is impressive. In fact, with 1,000 lockers installed in one year and with 8 out of 10 customers who have used the locker continuing to do so, the numbers speak for themselves.”
The Skroutz Point lockers can be found in a variety of locations throughout the city in two different colors: orange and black. Having started in Athens, Skroutz Last Mile is now ready to roll out the solution to other cities in Greece.
