Ukraine-based autonomous parcel locker technology provider Jetbeep has acquired Parcelsea, an Estonian last-mile company specializing in parcel lockers for private homes and communities.
The acquisition grants Jetbeep ownership of Parcelsea’s intellectual property and customer contracts, while the Parcelsea team will strengthen Jetbeep’s team to accelerate the deployment of its open network. The acquisition also enhances Jetbeep’s key partnership with Omniva.
“As we continue to expand our open network, this acquisition is a crucial milestone, directly addressing key hardware challenges,” said Valery Chekalkin, co-founder of Jetbeep.
“The Community Locker developed by Parcelsea offers a unique and innovative design solution, striking the perfect balance between proximity to the customer and operational efficiency for carriers. We believe this gives us a significant competitive edge and brings us much closer to achieving our strategic goals. Additionally, we’re thrilled about the strategic partnership with Omniva, which further strengthens our position in the market.”
Andres Sampka, the co-founder of Parcelsea, added, “We have been using Jetbeep’s controllers in our community locker for over a year now and are extremely satisfied with their technology. It was a logical step for Parcelsea to merge the two businesses as we share similar strategic goals. Together we are more equipped to shape the last mile industry.”
