Parcel locker provider InPost will install lockers at 40 London train stations in partnership with South Western Railway (SWR).
So far, lockers have been installed at 14 stations within Greater London and lockers will be placed at other major commuter hubs.
The lockers will let customers send and receive essential goods and products, contact-free, during the COVID-19 lockdown.
Jerome Pacatte, head of stations at South Western Railway, said, “They will provide our customers with a convenient and efficient way to send and receive parcels, including during the very testing times that we are currently living through.”
Jason Tavaria, CEO of InPost, said, “Partnering with a major operator in SWR will allow consumers to access our lockers easily and conveniently to satisfy all their postal needs, particularly during these challenging times.”
In phase one, lockers have been placed at Raynes Park, Barnes, Strawberry Hill, Mortlake, Kew Bridge, Chessington North, Brentford, Isleworth, Tolworth, Norbiton, Stoneleigh, Worcester Park, Whitton and Chiswick.
