Parcel delivery provider GLS has expanded its Eastern European locker network to include more than 70 terminals after carrying out installations in Hungary, Slovakia and Romania.
GLS first began deploying parcel lockers in Eastern Europe with installations in Slovenia in October 2014, and is now planning to expand its network even further with new units in the Czech Republic.
GLS experienced unprecedented growth in deliveries to Eastern European households in 2015, with deliveries in Hungary increasing by nearly 40%.
Gergely Farkas, managing director, GLS Europe East, said, “Recipients who are not home during the day, or who want confidential delivery can collect their parcels any time of day and night at a GLS ParcelLocker. This solution corresponds to today’s modern lifestyle.”
