Parcel locker operator DeinFach has partnered with smart locker technology provider Bloq.it to create Germany’s first open locker network aimed at transforming parcel deliveries across Germany.
The new shared infrastructure model will enable any parcel delivery company or retailer to integrate the lockers into their network, fostering greater efficiency and accessibility in last-mile logistics.
DeinFach’s CEO, Lukas Beckedorff, explained, “The goal is to have the densest carrier-agnostic network in Germany – not just for customers, but also for B2B players like DHL, UPS or DPD. Our network enhances efficiency in logistics processes while providing customers with convenient access close to their homes.”
The company aims to deploy 1,000 lockers across Germany by the end of 2025, ensuring widespread accessibility for both consumers and logistics providers. The lockers will be powered by Bloq.it’s software platform, Bloq.OS, providing carriers and consumers with an integrated delivery experience.
According to Bloq.it, the platform’s hardware-agnostic approach enables DeinFach to select and integrate any locker hardware while maintaining a unified and efficient system for users and logistics providers alike.
Miha Jagodic, CEO at Bloq.it, said, “DeinFach’s open network is a real game-changer for the industry. We’re proud that Bloq.OS is powering this vision at such a large scale. We are thrilled to watch this network grow to thousands of lockers – and serve millions of people – over the next years.”
