Locker networks provider Bloq.it transformed the visitor experience at this year’s Parcel+Post Expo, using the Apple Vision Pro virtual reality headset to provide an in-depth look into the company’s locker technology and installation benefits.
The company worked closely with Apple developers to create a virtual deployment scene of a realistic village, highlighting the ease of use and flexibility of Bloq.it’s Next locker solution.
Speaking at Parcel+Post Expo, taking place in Amsterdam on October 22-24, Bruno Luis, head of marketing at Bloq.it, said, “We wanted to showcase Next in the best way possible – we have the real product here at the stand, so you’re able to see it in real life, but we want also wanted to showcase how easy it is to deploy. With the assistance of Apple Vision Pro, we can take people out of the trade show and into a deployment scene where they can see how easy it is to just drop the locker and go.
“And of course, we also wanted to showcase how flexible it is for locations. Because it is a battery-powered locker, it doesn’t need connection to the grid, so we created a location where we just show a remote village and the locker in its natural habitat.
“We also included an audio guide to explain all the core features to our customers wearing the headset. They can walk around the locker, take a peek inside, see how the battery is easily replaced and just experience Next in a realistic way. It’s a very easy – and cool – way to showcase our technology and we’re the first locker company to use this type of technology at the expo.”
According to Luis, this innovative approach has garnered significant interest, including from competitors, and is now being considered for internal training and sales tools.
