Siemens Postal, Parcel and Airport Logistics (SPPAL) will present its latest solutions for postal and parcel service providers at Post-Expo 2016, taking place in Hong Kong on May 24-26, 2016.
The products on show will include Siemens’ VarioSort Twin, an innovative high-volume cross-belt sorter for small and lightweight parcels. The system can be adapted to sort mixed consignments offering users maximum flexibility. Siemens has already deployed VarioSort Twin at sorting offices in Europe and Asia.
Other solutions on show will include Siemens’ Intelligent Data Entry Workplace (IDEW) solution, enabling the automation of distribution centers through intelligent address recognition; Label Learning software, allowing for the straightforward reading of new label types; and software solutions for cloud-based digitalization of the entire logistics chain.
Siemens will also demonstrate its latest technologies for practical applications including a 3D model of an e-commerce logistics hub in Singapore, capable of processing up to 100,000 parcels a day in an area covering 320,000ft².
