The winners of the Postal and Parcel Technology International Awards 2017 have been announced, with Swiss Post winning Service Provider of the Year and Prime Vision winning Supplier of the Year.
The winners across all seven categories were announced during a ceremony and drinks reception at this year’s POST-EXPO event in Geneva, which is expected to attract 3,500 visitors to its exhibition and conference.
The awards celebrate the outstanding performance of this key global industry, which continues to develop to meet the changing needs of its customers and the profile of the post and parcel world?.
The strength of the entries this year reflects the innovative approach posts and technology providers are taking to improve all areas of their businesses, and the awards provide a platform upon which the winners can share their success with the rest of the industry.
Swiss Post was awarded Service Provider of the Year, for its broad and ambitious range of technology projects and strong financial performance. Meanwhile Prime Vision triumphed in the Supplier of the Year category with its many R&D projects and trials, including robotic sorting systems and packaging that integrates printed electronics.
Other winners include Singpost for its SAM network of self-service kiosks and digital postal service and DPD Germany for its ‘one-tap’ returns button. The full list of winners can be viewed here.
Now in its ninth year, a record number of new products, technologies, projects and solutions were nominated for awards by Postal and Parcel Technology International readers in 2017.
A judging panel of 18 decision makers and industry experts from around the world then selected the winners from a shortlist.
