Delegates attending Post-Expo in Paris this year will have the opportunity to view the latest sorting technology from Ferag during an open-house tour of the premises of Neolog, a La Poste holding company. The tour will take place on the afternoon of September 30, 2015, and will be followed by dinner.
Working as a strategic partner with postal companies and direct mailers, Ferag looks to develop future innovations from the ground up in line with its customers’ requirements. These innovations include direct mail processing systems such as Ferag’s EasySert technology.
The system covers a broad range of processes such as order picking, precollecting, tape fixing, inserting, addressing, packaging, polybagging, zoning and controlling. The net outputs are also dictated by customers’ requests and needs.
The Ferag system not only provides improvements to the direct mail production process, but the Navigator planning and control software system also makes a big difference in increasing the efficiency of production and lowering the costs. Customers can plan higher volumes in one go and have control over the precise time that a specific insert is processed on a specific hopper. The Optimizer also works in tandem with the Navigator as a control application. At the press of a button, numerous algorithms run in the background to calculate the perfect production strategy.
