Datalogic, a provider of automatic data capture and industrial automation solutions, has launched a range of new solutions at Post-Expo in Paris aimed at improving efficiency.
The company has launched a new addition to its 8K series of industrial high performance laser barcode scanners called the DS8110. The scanner has been developed to bring more functionality and value to customers. It has a larger depth of field and a greater field of view, meaning that it offers increased efficiency as a single unit can read a greater area reducing the total number of readers required for multi-sided applications.
The company has also launched the AV7000, a linear camera solution that delivers 360 degree high speed package intelligence for material handling systems with a conveyor, tilt tray or cross sorter. The AV7000 has a high sensitivity CMOS sensor and patented technology that provides clear, crisp, high-definition images from one to six sides of a package at high speeds.
In addition, Datalogic’s PowerScan line has been complemented by the launch of the PowerScan PM9500-DK 2D imager. This new member features a display and a 16-key keyboard. “The addition of the PowerScan 9500-DK imager provides our customers with an enhanced option in industrial scanning,” said Giulio Berzuini, general manager and VP, Handheld Scanners, Datalogic. “This scanner offers best-in-class reading capabilities through high-speed imaging 2D optics and has a great depth of field.”
Lastly, Datalogic is also showcasing at Post-Expo its Jade solution, which aims to redefine smalls management and e-commerce order fulfillment. Jade is an image-based barcode reading solution with the ability to read any 1D code on any side of a small parcel or polybag that comes pre-configured and pre-assembled for easy integration. The solution provides automation that can replace manual hand scanning at induction stations on cross belts and tilt trays, for more efficient, accurate e-commerce order fulfillment.
