An updated conference program featuring over 40 new speakers has just been released for this year’s Parcel+Post Expo Conference! The conference takes place October 1, 2, and 3, 2019, at the RAI Amsterdam.
New speakers include Frank van Os, CCO and co-founder, Smartmile, who will reveal his company’s new cloud-based software platform – Smartmile – which connects automated parcel terminals to any online buyer, courier or retailer. The software platform creates an open and shared urban delivery ecosystem that is more efficient, convenient and sustainable.
Transport for London’s (TfL) senior advisor for e-commerce and urban logistics, Alan Barrie, will use the Urban Delivery Operations session on Tuesday afternoon to discuss urban logistics in major cities.
Sweden’s PostNord Group will send Tim Joernsen, its EVP of e-commerce and logistics, to talk about consumer experience, the last mile and AI. How can AI maximize consumer experience and profitability in the last mile when capacity is a constraint in a double-digit-growth market?
Matthew Furneaux, head of strategy and innovation, Loqate, a GBG solution, will talk at the Addressing session about how aggregating multiple data sources and addressing types using a unique ‘Persistent Data Hierarchy’ delivers an incredible experience to users of addressing systems.
Chris van Dam, R&D engineer, Prime Vision, asks how addressing challenges can be solved by deep learning. He will explain and illustrate current issues in the addressing of letters and parcels, giving particular attention to items originating from Asia, where language and cultural differences result in incredibly low read rates.
Huawei’s Zixiao (Zx) Li, vice president of roads and logistics for global market, will discuss the trend of digital transformation in the logistics and postal industry, the latest ICT technology used for the postal industry, innovation case sharing, how to plan and construct the digital platform for post, and how ICT can support posts to achieve digital transformation.
As the inspector in charge of the US Postal Inspection Service, Michael Ray will give insights into delivering trusted transactions. With interconnected posts, it becomes paramount to exchange trusted transactions while enabling quick identification of low-trust transactions. Can the use of blockchain technology be applied to enable and foster trust among the community of posts?
