Kyburz is presenting its bidirectional vehicle charging solution at Parcel+Post Expo 2023.
The solution is intended to enable last-mile delivery vehicles to be used for energy storage while parked. This solution has been designed to be retrofitted to established vehicles, to increase the usage of last-mile delivery vehicles and therefore drive the vehicles’ economic value.
Martin Kyburz, CEO and owner of Kyburz Switzerland, is also giving a presentation at the show: ‘Redeploying vehicles and recycling batteries at Kyburz Switzerland’. Kyburz will cover battery recycling, the circular economy, electric light-duty vehicles and energy storage systems (ESS). Kyburz DXP vehicles come back from their seven years of postal service with batteries which are still very healthy. To reduce resource use and still provide customers with the reliable service that they depend on, Kyburz performs factory refurbishment of the vehicles and offers them back on the market at competitive prices with full guarantees. Batteries that can no longer fulfill the requirements are utilized in ESS. Any batteries that can no longer perform reliably in vehicles or ESS are recycled in-house using an innovative process that reclaims 90% of their materials.
Kyburz will speak at 2:20pm on Wednesday, October 25 on Stage 2 in Hall 2.
Ahead of his presentation, Kyburz commented, “The presentation of the latest developments and results of current Kyburz research is a tradition at Parcel+Post Expo. For us, the honest feedback from the expert visitors to the show is influential.”
