Vanderlande is launching a bagging system for small parcels at the expo.
This solution has been designed to seamlessly integrate with a facility’s smalls sorter and rapidly consolidate items in a way that requires less manual labor than alternative options. In addition, the compact design of this new product makes use of existing space because it fits under the sorter. The result is extra automation to increase parcel depot efficiency – but on the same footprint.
The solution is intended to support the needs of the overstretched depot and parcel delivery companies across the world dealing with high volumes of small parcels when manual labor remains scarce. In addition, the cost of logistics space is rising, which is forcing many parcel companies to think creatively about how they use their existing depot footprint.
“Vanderlande remains at the forefront of addressing the challenges in the parcel industry. In response to the surging demand for resource optimization, we continue to innovate and offer solutions that enhance efficiency and reduce manual labor,” explained Mike Christman, global executive vice president of Vanderlande’s parcel division. “We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to discuss how our extensive portfolio of integrated solutions can optimize parcel sorting operations at Parcel+Post Expo.”
