Women’s fashion retailer Missguided has deployed Doddle’s click-and-collect technology solution in its flagship stores at Westfield Stratford in London and at Bluewater Kent, both in the UK.
Powered by Doddle is a comprehensive click-and-collect solution that includes all the software, training, communications and analytics modules retailers need to enhance their click-and-collect experience and deliver incremental revenue.
The Powered by Doddle solution is also highly customizable. As a result, Missguided was able to retain complete control over the look and feel of the app’s user interface and customer communications, enabling them to demonstrate their distinctive branding and tone of voice.
The system functionality includes the:
Receipt of goods accepting delivery of parcels from multiple carriers;
Storage of goods allocation of parcels to specific locations in a space optimized storeroom;
Event-driven customer communications Missguided branded emails and text messages triggered at specified moments in the parcel journey; and the
Handling of expired parcels processes to support the handling of parcels that are uncollected after a defined period.
Doddle’s software has been deployed to handheld Android devices enabling Missguided store teams to serve customers anywhere, anytime. This not only removes the need to take up valuable retail space with a dedicated click-and-collect desk, it also helps to reduce queues at peak trading times.
John Allen, chief technical officer, Missguided, said, “The Doddle technology is super flexible, can be set up and changed quickly depending on demand, and it has been proven to work in 80 of Doddle’s own stores.
“For our own click-and-collect service we wanted to make sure we offered our customers a fantastic experience the first time, every time and Powered by Doddle has enabled us to do that.”
Tim Robinson, CEO, Doddle, said, “Moving from an online environment into physical stores is a huge operational and logistical undertaking. We’ve been able to add value as a partner by supplying a tried and tested click-and-collect service that their customers will love and will help them convert their strong online traffic into collection footfall.
“Because Missguided haven’t had to start from scratch with their click-and-collect experience, they have been able to skip a lot of the pain points many established retailers have toiled through for years and are still grappling with.”
