UK garden center chain Dobbies has awarded an extended warehouse and transportation contract to Wincanton, which will provide premium home delivery, store replenishment and e-commerce services.
Wincanton has been working with Dobbies since 2020 and manages 110,000 units of stock per week to stores and customers across the UK. It was also responsible for the relocation of Dobbies’ national distribution center to a new shared-user site in Corby in Northamptonshire. This transition will achieve a more than 16% improvement in efficiency and will enable Dobbies to increase capacity volumes by 100%.
