Poczta Polska, the national postal operator in Poland, has recorded a 400% increase in parcel shipments from the Far East between April and November 2024 compared to last year, with the majority originating from China.
The post reported that parcel volumes in November increased by 25,000 compared to October, and it expects this trend to continue.
According to Poczta Polska, the decline in traditional mail has led to it developing services in growing markets, including the international e-commerce market. As one of the largest operators in the country, Poczta Polska has a parcel collection network of about 20,000 points, including over 1,300 parcel machines, 7,500 outlets and several thousand partner points.
The operator also has a network of nearly 30 sorting plants and a modern fleet of over 5,000 cars. This enables the timely delivery of over 4,000,000 parcels per day to over 15,000,000 addresses throughout Poland.
