Mail and parcel service provider OCS Worldwide has opened two international mail processing centers with New Zealand Post in the UK.
OCS has worked with New Zealand Post on commercial parcel exports from the UK since 2015, providing clients with value-added services for commercial parcel delivery in New Zealand.
Launching mail processing facilities, also known as extraterritorial office of exchange (ETOE) operations, with New Zealand Post enables e-commerce clients to reach international markets directly from the UK.
OCS’s Heathrow facility will begin processing mail and parcels through the ETOE this month, and this will extend to the Midlands hub in Coventry in the spring.
Tim Jones, managing director of OCS Worldwide said, “Our e-commerce business is growing, and having access to the International Postal system allows us a greater level of visibility and control over our post than we have previously had and this will be of huge benefit to our customers.”
Rachael Manson, market development director Asia and Europe of New Zealand Post, said, “We see the ability to utilize our postal expertise alongside a commercial operator such as OCS to bring UK based customers a broader set of delivery options for their parcel movements, as well as supporting our existing hub operations in New Zealand, Australia and Singapore.”
