Guernsey Post has launched two innovative services – myUKaddress and the RockShopper Online Directory – designed to make online shopping easier and more accessible for island residents.
The myUKaddress service addresses a common challenge for islanders: the inability to shop with UK retailers that do not deliver to Guernsey. By providing Guernsey residents with a unique UK delivery address, the service enables them to shop freely from UK e-commerce sites. Items are then sent to Guernsey Post’s new parcel hub in Portsmouth, where they are shipped onward for local delivery by Guernsey Post.
The RockShopper Online Directory features a list of hundreds of online retailers that either deliver directly to Guernsey or can be accessed using the myUKaddress service. Key features include listings of retailers that offer VAT-free shopping for island residents, free delivery options and easy returns. Local retailers are also featured in the directory, further enhancing the convenience of shopping from home for Guernsey residents.
