International e-commerce and mail delivery solutions specialist Asendia has announced the continuing improvement to its global e-PAQ returns service. The service employs an extensive global reverse logistics network in partnership with ESW (formerly eShopWorld) technology. The solution will help online retailers simplify the returns process for their shoppers, delivering a more efficient, faster and hassle-free experience.
e-PAQ Returns is a comprehensive end-to-end solution that complements the panel of international e-commerce delivery solutions Asendia already offers. It enables international retailers to accelerate growth, reaching consumers in more than 200 countries.
A recent global study by Asendia revealed that on average, retailers said their returns rate was approaching a quarter of their total purchases (23%). This figure increases to 27% in the USA and Switzerland, and 26% in Germany and the UK. When shoppers were asked to consider what would influence their decision to make an international purchase, the top three responses referenced shipping. Nearly one in three (32%) will ensure their preferred returns method is available (paperless, drop-off box, collect, postal office, in-store) before finalising an order.
e-PAQ provides a selection of methods to choose from. Involving easy-to-use return QR codes instead of labels, automated tracking, high-density drop-off points and flexible return options, the platform allows shoppers to monitor the entire returns process, from when the package is shipped to when it is received by the retailer, giving them complete visibility and control over the process.
e-PAQ Returns is a 100% carbon neutral solution. Sustainability is a core aspect of Asendia’s business and the company has been awarded the carbon offsetting certificate for 2022, keeping its promise of becoming 100% neutral.
