Liverpool Football Club (FC) and United Parcel Service (UPS) have begun a multi-year partnership, with UPS becoming the UK soccer club’s first official global logistics and shipping partner.
The two brands will work together to expand the global distribution of LFC’s retail and e-commerce operations. The club will use UPS’s logistics experience and expertise, with UPS supporting Liverpool FC’s global retail and e-commerce channels, enabling them to deliver a better fan experience and get LFC merchandise into the hands of those fans quicker and more efficiently.
Ben Latty, commercial director for Liverpool FC, said, “We are proud to be announcing this global partnership with UPS. As one of the world’s largest companies, UPS is bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our already successful retail operations. We are looking forward to seeing the impact this will have, and how it will improve fans’ experiences around the world.”
With millions of small business owners worldwide cheering LFC on every week, the partnership will also enable UPS to engage with its global customer base in a new way.
“We’re proud to be the official logistics sponsor of Liverpool Football Club,” said Kevin Warren, chief marketing and customer experience officer at UPS. “Our global, integrated logistics network means we can offer unmatched speed and reliability as LFC continues to grow its retail operations. We’re ready to deliver team spirit and pride to LFC fans – no matter where they are in the world.”
