Swiss Post has announced the completion of its takeover of same-day logistics firm notime, having previously been the majority shareholder since 2018. The company says it made the move to strengthen its position in the growing same-day delivery market, while also enabling better use of the existing logistics synergies between the former partners.
The notime delivery model operates on the basis of optimized route planning, meaning ordered goods are delivered on the same day by bicycle or electric scooter.
Swiss Post feels confident that it can make even better use of the existing synergies with notime. The two parties say they plan to enhance the compatibility of their same-day products and harmonize their processes in the next phase of the takeover.
Furthermore, notime’s existing IT system covers key Swiss Post requirements and the company says that in the future it will continue developing the system in conjunction with notime.
