PostNord has signed a new agreement with fellow European network CargoLine, one of the continent’s largest groupage cargo networks.
Initially, PostNord will distribute goods for CargoLine in the Swedish market, also picking up goods in Sweden to be distributed in the CargoLine networks in Germany and the rest of Europe.
The agreement means PostNord is granted full access to CargoLine’s import and export networks.
Anders Holm, PostNord Sweden’s CEO, commented, “CargoLine provides PostNord’s customers with access to one of Europe’s most well-established and skilled networks for groupage cargo.
“The new agreement allows us to strengthen our groupage cargo services for both imports and exports in Sweden.”
PostNord has focused on strengthening its range of services in full and part loads, as well as group cargo from and within the Nordic region, over the past three years.
The postal company already has agreements with several international networks, including DPD and Palletways, a similar network with a focus on the distribution of pallets.
Bernd Höppner, managing director of CargoLine, added, “PostNord is the leading supplier of logistics and e-commerce services in the Nordic region and as a result of our collaboration, we can offer high levels of quality to CargoLine’s customers via PostNord’s comprehensive distribution network in Sweden.”
