InPost, a leading European automated parcel machine (APM) service provider, has expanded its partnership with Vinted, an online C2C second-hand fashion marketplace with over eight million registered members in the UK.
The partnership’s new service, InPost Shop, gives Vinted members in the UK the option of collecting parcels from participating stores, providing an additional OOH collection option alongside InPost’s 5,000-strong locker network. Vinted led the initial trial with InPost earlier this year as demand soared for out-of-home (OOH) parcel delivery options from its customer base.
InPost has seen exceptional demand for all its services in the UK. Between 2021 and 2022 InPost’s user volumes increased by 151% across all products.
Michael Rouse, CEO of InPost International, commented, “While we will always be a locker-first company, we’re constantly looking for ways to take convenience to the next level for our customers and their shoppers. This is exactly what our new InPost Shop service helps us do. In areas where APMs installation is tricky due to space constraints we can still add a collection point for our growing two million user base.”
Vytautas Atkocaitis, vice president of Vinted Go, added, “While our buyers and sellers love the greater choice and convenience that InPost’s OOH delivery solutions provide, Vinted’s first Climate Impact Report also showed that on average, PUDO deliveries reduce the emissions of a typical Vinted shipment by 62% compared with a home delivery.”
