Courier company Delivered Exactly (DX) has opened two new depots, in Paisley, Scotland, and West Bromwich in the UK.
The Paisley depot covers 22,000ft2 across a 2.3-acre site and is expected to increase the company’s volumes and service levels to the west of Glasgow, as well as free up capacity at the group’s existing depot in Motherwell on the southeastern side of Glasgow. The new 37,000ft2 depot at West Bromwich depot is on a 1.3-acre site and will support the group’s depot in Cannock. Together, the two new depots will create 80 jobs.
These sites form part of the company’s £20m-£25m (US$23m-US$28m) investment program, in which more sites will be opened, upgraded and equipped with vehicle fleets, handheld technologies and IT systems. Overall, these two new sites take the total number of depots DX has opened in 2022 to five.
Paul Ibbetson, managing director of DX Freight, commented, “We are pleased to have opened two new DX Freight depots in Paisley and West Bromwich, taking the total number opened in 2022 to five. The sites boost capacity and enhance service levels in their respective regions. We plan further site openings as well as major upgrades to existing sites as we scale our delivery network to support the group’s ongoing growth.”
