Technology and logistics company AxleHire is deploying No-Touch Delivery for same-day and next-day deliveries.
No-Touch Delivery provides consumers with the option to sign on their mobile device using the app, sign before the package is delivered, opt out of attended delivery, and update delivery instructions.
Daniel Sokolovsky, founder of AxleHire, said social distancing due to the coronavirus means the team has had to rethink home deliveries so drivers and recipients can maintain a safe distance.
He said, “A key feature of No-Touch Delivery now allows consumers to sign for packages on their mobile device, therefore the recipient does not have to touch the driver’s mobile device to sign for a package. This means our drivers and the recipient can maintain at least a safe 6ft distance from each other.”
Sokolovsky adds that AxleHire’s technology platform is scalable and flexible to meet the changing needs of consumers and unforeseen events.
He said, “Working closely with our retail and e-commerce partners, we developed this new suite of tools to meet not only their needs, but those of their consumers in these challenging times.”
