Customers in Taiwan will now be able to schedule pickups as late as midnight for same-day exports to Europe thanks to a new service from UPS.
UPS has also expanded its network capacity by 30% and promises shipments will reach their European destinations in two business days or customers get their money back.
“These enhancements give our Taiwan customers wider production windows, greater convenience, better flexibility and control of their supply chains, and more opportunities to grow their business in Europe,” said Sam Hung, managing director UPS Taiwan, Japan and South Korea. “Given that the high-tech and industrial manufacturing and automotive segments are forecasted to remain strong, we expect customers in these sectors to benefit the most from these improvements.”
Close to 20% of Taiwan’s annual exports find their way to Europe, and in 2023 alone, Taiwan shipped goods worth a whopping $37 billion across the continent. “Europe remains an important export destination for UPS Taiwan, having consistently been among Taiwan’s top three trading partners for almost two decades,” added Hung.
