FedEx Express has had its Hong Kong Authorized Economic Operator (HKAEO) certificate renewed by the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department.
The HKAEO recognizes organizations as a trusted partner in global supply chain security and movement of goods by fulfilling pre-determined security standards in handling cross-border shipments.
FedEx has been accredited since 2012 and enjoys benefits including reduced customs inspection and prioritized clearance in Hong Kong.
Anthony Leung, managing director of FedEx Express Hong Kong and Macau, said, “The extension of the accreditation enables us to continue to deliver on our purple promise – making every FedEx experience outstanding for our customers. We look forward to connecting more businesses, especially small and medium-size enterprises, to new possibilities around the world via FedEx comprehensive global network.”
To help customers save time and ensure shipments arrive promptly, customers can submit their clearance documents electronically using the FedEx Electronic Trade Documents tool providing preclearance assistance and proactive customer support.
