AXA has signed a 10-year partnership agreement with Singapore Post (SingPost) to sell its life insurance products in 34 post offices across Singapore. Customers will be able to choose from a wide range of AXA@POST products including car, home, and travel insurance, as well as savings, life protection and investment plans.
Doina Palici-Chehab, CEO of AXA Insurance Singapore, said, “AXA@POST is an important part of our business strategy to expand our customer touch points and bring insurance closer to our customers in Singapore. Today, I am pleased to be able to complete our insurance protection efforts by adding general insurance solutions. AXA is introducing mobile device systems for customers at AXA@POST outlets, offering ease of applications and browsing of information at one touch.”
Glenn Williams, CEO of AXA Life Insurance Singapore, said, “We started operations for AXA@POST early this year and I am very pleased to see a strong take up at all the branches. With general insurance now available, we are certain that more Singaporeans will benefit from a broader choice of channels and touch-points to go to for their insurance protection needs.”
In addition, AXA has revealed that it plans to offer business solutions at the post offices by Q3, 2015. It will also expand into 10 more SingPost branches by the end of 2015.
Marjorie Ooi, senior vice president of financial services, SingPost, said, “Our post offices are well placed to make insurance solutions accessible to people from all walks of life. Long served as hubs for customers, post offices provide choice and convenience to our customers, increasingly so as we continue to remodel our post offices to provide a more digital and seamless retail experience.
“We also leverage our omni-channel capability to offer AXA@POST beyond the traditional brick and mortar model, allowing customers to access insurance solutions round the clock via our digital platforms. This aligns with SingPost’s ongoing transformation to provide a more seamless and integrated experience to our customers.”
