Jersey Post Group has invested in parcel delivery service provider DAI Post as the organization consolidates its move to becoming a fourth party logistics (4PL) partner.
DAI Post is an Australasia and Singapore based e-commerce logistics business that focusses on services from around the world into and out of these territories. It is headquartered in Melbourne, Australia.
The investment in DAI Post extends Jersey Post’s network into Australasia and Singapore, providing the existing network partners with services in these locations. The investment also provides opportunities to consolidate Jersey Post’s businesses in North America as well as providing opportunities for Jersey Post’s UK partners.
The investment in DAI Post is the latest in Jersey Post’s international strategy to take advantage of opportunities outside the finite local market. In 2016, Jersey Post purchased Fraser Freight, a UK-based European logistics provider located in Portsmouth; and HICS, a customs clearance agent located at Heathrow.
In 2017, Jersey Post continued to implement its strategy by investing in businesses including Global eParcel Solutions (GePS), based in Miami, Florida; Hong Kong-based business A2B Limited, which works in mail and fulfilment solutions in Hong Kong and China; and UK-based business Parcel Monkey, which provided Jersey Post and its customers with the final piece of the parcel solution portfolio – the enabling e-commerce platform that can bring together the global network and service providers into one, easy-to-access location.
Tim Brown, chief executive at Jersey Post, said, “Our international strategy is to ensure long-term revenue growth and stability for Jersey Post, by providing a complete global solution. This solution has to work seamlessly for those customers based overseas, but it must also work hard for those based locally so that we can facilitate expansion opportunities from Jersey to markets in locations where we now have global partners.
“The investment in DAI Post completes our global reach across the key continents and ensures that we are truly able to provide worldwide logistics services.”
Mike Roberts, CEO, DAI Post, and Rob Turner, sales director and founder, said, “This is such an exciting time for DAI Post. We are thrilled by the opportunity to join an established global network that offers end-to-end solutions.
“Our customers currently benefit from fantastic Asia-Pacific and US services, but both they and us will now have a prime opportunity to further expand market reach across additional continents.”
