The international business division of Jersey Post, Jersey Post Global Logistics, has rebranded its network of partners as JPGL.
The rebranding move marks the group’s establishment of key service providers in every continent. The rebrand went live on January 10, 2022, and will be rolled out across global partners throughout 2022. Once complete, and as JPGL moves toward its goal of becoming a full third-party logistics provider, the group has plans to offer an increased portfolio of services through its global network. With the rebrand, there will be no change to the services that customers currently receive.
In 2015, the Jersey Post Group completed its first international business acquisition, with the purchase of Fraser Freight, a UK logistics specialist based in Portsmouth. This acquisition was the first component of a long-term, global, strategic plan to create an international business with a network of partners (Jersey Post Global Logistics) which would address the long-term terminal decline in domestic mail volumes, exploit opportunities outside of the Jersey Post Group’s finite local market, increase profitability and ultimately protect the USO in Jersey.
Since this date, the Jersey Post Group has continued to make a number of significant changes, adding new companies to Jersey Post Global Logistics, expanding its international reach and, as a result, expanding the customer proposition across this global network.
Tim Brown, chief executive of the Jersey Post Group, stated, “We launched our international growth strategy in 2015 and since then, we have worked tirelessly to build Jersey Post Global Logistics into a robust, interconnected network across the globe to ensure that we can continue to meet the changing demands of our local and international customers. This rebrand is testament to the hard work that has been invested in this strategy and very much marks the starting point to our next chapter.”
David McGrath, group marketing director for Jersey Post Group, commented, “Following several major international acquisitions and investments, Jersey Post Global Logistics has grown drastically, expanding our capabilities, and offering an increased range of products and services.
“As we establish ourselves as a significant international operator and we look to further increase our global reach, it’s essential that our branding supports this through a more unified, current look that speaks internationally and truly reflects the range of products and services available to our diverse customer base.”
