A geotagging experiment conducted by reporters at a major German news outlet has highlighted issues with clothing returns and sparked accusations of greenwashing. It is alleged that an online clothing retailer’s statement about the extent to which returned items are resold may not be as much as claimed. The report claims that some returned clothes were delivered to a site were clothes are shredded, while another geotagged item travelled 7,000km before the GPS signal failed due to a flat battery.
In our latest video, Marek and Peter discuss the issue at large as well as the issue of greenwashing in the last mile.
