French national postal operator La Poste is preparing to officially launch an annual consumer subscription service for unlimited parcel deliveries called Colissimo Pass.
Similar in nature to Amazon Prime, Colissimo Pass customers benefit from unlimited deliveries and returns in exchange for an annual fee. A trial of the service has been running since October 2017 for an introductory fee of €9 (US$11). On May 1, La Poste will officially launch Colissimo Pass for a yearly subscription of €39 (US$48).
The subscription service can only be used via La Poste’s partner e-commerce sites, which currently include 12 local e-tailers. According to French news site Les Echos, La Poste aims to increase the number of partners in its ‘virtual mall’ to 30 by the summer, and 50 by Christmas.
Current partners include Bleucerise, Chapitre, Cocooncenter, Domadoo, Happy Dressing, Homéose, Editions of Saxony, My Underwear, Mondebio, Minute Batteries, Quaerius and U23.
As well as unlimited deliveries, subscribers will benefit from a premium customer service line that is accessible seven days a week from 8:00am to 10:00pm, Les Echos states.
Colissimo Pass will also integrate its services with all e-tail partners so the consumer benefits from a single point of contact for claims and enquiries. The list of current orders will also be centralized on the Colissimo Pass account.
