The UPS Mobile app for iPhone and Android devices is now available to customers in 10 new countries including Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Puerto Rico, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. The app had previously been available in Canada, France, Germany, Italy, the UK and the US.
Businesses and consumers can use the app to find UPS shipping locations, obtain rate quotes, create shipments, track packages and manage deliveries all from the convenience of their smartphone.
The UPS Mobile app includes access to UPS My Choice features, allowing customers to reroute or reschedule deliveries, or have them held and delivered when they return home from vacation.
In certain countries, UPS My Choice members can send qualifying packages directly to a UPS Access Point location as a preferred delivery address. UPS Access Point locations are local businesses, such as convenience stores and pharmacies, which have evening and weekend hours.
Geoff Light, president of product development, UPS, said, “The expansion of the UPS Mobile app provides convenience and flexibility to UPS customers across Europe and North America. With more than six million downloads it’s clear there is a high demand for a dynamic mobile solution with real-time delivery management capabilities.”
