Materials handling specialist Sovex has renewed a major servicing agreement with DHL Express UK and Ireland for the service and maintenance of product handling machinery at nearly 50 depots across the UK. This includes telescopic vehicle loaders and transport conveyor systems.
Sovex, which is based in the Merseyside region of the UK, has recently undergone a period of rapid growth having expanded from 33 to 41 employees in the past year. The company was also named as number 82 in the 2014 Virgin Sunday Times Fast Track Top 100 listing of companies, a league table which ranks the private companies with the fastest growing sales over the last three years.
Michele Dematteis, managing director, Sovex, said, “We are thrilled to have renewed our servicing agreement with DHL Express in the UK. Our relationship goes back to 2009, when we signed an initial contract to service and maintain machines in 46 depots across the UK. We have now extended this agreement for three years, for the second time running.
“Sovex is best known for manufacturing vehicle loader and transport conveyor systems, largely for the post and parcel market.
“We provide guaranteed emergency response of two or four hours, or next day to anywhere in the UK often-reaching clients in two hours or under. This helps customers to minimize operational downtime. Our engineers carry more than 1,500 spare parts and can often repair equipment on the spot. We fix around 98% of reported breakdowns on the first visit.”
