Israel Post has announced on LinkedIn that it is investing Shk60m (US$16.2m) in an advanced sorting system from Beumer Group to support e-commerce operations and improve the customer experience.
According to the post, “This major financial commitment represents our dedication to dramatically enhancing our e-commerce capabilities and revolutionizing delivery speeds across Israel, alongside the importance of customer experience in our everyday activity.”
The new sorting system will boost capacity to more than 100 million parcels annually and will be able to handle up to 350,000 parcels daily, the post reported.
Israel Post wrote, “E-commerce in Israel continues to grow consistently, with more than 75 million items ordered by Israelis from overseas shopping sites in 2024 alone. As Israel’s leading logistics provider for e-commerce, responsible for delivering approximately 65% of all personal imports, we’re committed to remaining at the forefront of technology and service.”
