Construction has begun on Posten Bring’s new 26,000m2 Bergen Logistics Center. When it opens in 2027 it will triple the number of parcels that can be handled at the company’s current terminals in Minde and Jekteviken.
The construction process began on March 28. Speaking at a ceremony to mark the event, CEO Petter-Børre Furberg said, “This is a special day for us at Posten Bring. Finally, after 10 years of waiting, we can break ground for our new terminal in the Bergen region. This marks a major boost for the group, our employees and customers here in the region.”
The new terminal will feature a charging station for heavy electric vehicles, as part of Posten’s national charging infrastructure.
“Bergen and the surrounding area is one of the country’s largest and most important regions. Our new business is future-oriented and gives us great capacity, which will benefit both our employees and, not least, our customers,” added Furberg.
“I’d like to thank the municipality for the work it has done to facilitate Posten Bring’s establishment. With its central location close to the E39 and good access to energy, we hope and believe that Posten Bring will be an engine that contributes to the development here in Lyseparken.”
