For the sixth year in a row, Norweigans have named postal operator Posten as the most sustainable brand in Norway’s parcel and logistics industry, with parcel subsidiary Bring in second place.
The survey is part of the Sustainable Brand Index, Europe’s largest brand sustainability study, and Posten placed third overall among the 279 brands assessed in Norway.
“For many years, we have worked purposefully to cut emissions, including through a gradual phase-out of fossil fuels in our car fleet,” commented Colin Campbell, director of sustainability at Posten Bring. “Today, well over half of the country’s population receives deliveries with fossil-free vehicles, while we are well on our way to phasing out heavier vehicles powered by fossil fuels.”
In recent years, Posten has also built the country’s largest charging infrastructure for heavy electric vehicles.
“This recognition shows that our initiatives are being noticed, and it motivates us to continue working on more sustainable solutions. We want to take responsibility for our impact on the climate and the environment, while our customers expect us to do the same,” Campbell said.
