Indonesian fashion e-tailer Zalora has signed a new collaboration agreement with national postal operator Pos Indonesia to supply customers with a free returns service at any of its 4,154 post offices. Zalora offers online shoppers more than 70,000 fashion product, including clothing, shoes, handbags, accessories, Muslim clothing and cosmetics for men and women.
Anthony Fung, managing director, Zalora, said, “Pos Indonesia is the right partner for us in delivering a comprehensive online shopping experience. Through this collaboration, all Zalora customers will have the ease of returning their goods free of charge at all post offices throughout Indonesia. This has been done in an effort to establish a culture of easy online shopping.
“The experience of shopping online is absolutely key to the success of e-commerce in Indonesia. Because it’s an archipelago, Indonesia has its challenges in the logistics process and our collaboration with Pos Indonesia is one of our strategies in responding to this challenge.”
Pos Indonesia is in the process of modernizing its infrastructure with 3,746 of its 4,154 post offices providing customers with access to online services. Its Postshop service points provide customers a with access to one-stop shopping in the form of mail delivery; packaging; financial services (pospay, remittance); postal items such as seals, stamps and philatelic products; online shopping; and access to its own e-commerce site galeripos.com.
