Delivery solutions provider DX has opened a new depot in Maidstone, Kent, in the southeast of the UK to support the expansion of its parcel business.
Situated on a 1.3-acre site on St Michaels Close, Aylesford, the new depot has excellent transportation links to help DX reduce stem mileage and carbon emissions, improve operational efficiencies and enhance customer service levels.
Paul Ibbetson, chief executive officer of DX Group, commented, “We are pleased to add this new depot in Maidstone to our DX Express division as part of our continued investment in the business.
“The new depot will enhance our position in the Southeast, increasing the capacity and capability of our Parcels operation. It will deliver further efficiencies to our operations and provide local customer service benefits, a priority for the group. It will also lower carbon emissions by reducing stem mileage.
“We look forward to integrating this new depot into our existing network and continually improving the service offering that we provide to our customers.”
This latest opening takes the total number of depots in the DX Express network to 42, with eight being opened in 2023.
