Omnic will introduce its Omni Drop Off self-service terminal that enables customers to effortlessly send parcels within minutes without the operator’s assistance. It can replace up to four workers while eliminating queues and errors in the shipping process. Omni Drop Off uses AI and computer vision to ensure accurate tracking and sorting of parcels. It has an Intel camera that precisely measures the weight and dimensions of parcels of any shape and enables the customer to calculate shipment costs accurately. Algorithms scan and analyze the parcel to detect forbidden items or substances, making the first mile as secure as possible. The kiosk is equipped with boxes and packaging materials. After the sender’s details, recipient’s address and shipment method have been input, the terminal instantly generates and prints the tracking number. Then the sender puts the parcel in the built-in smart locker.
Kyburz will present its interchangeable box system, created in partnership with Swiss logistics company Planzer, that aims to provide consistency from the sorting center to the (mobile) city hub to the delivery point at the destination. At this year’s Parcel+Post Expo, the companies will present what works in Switzerland’s tight, regulated and congested city centers. Dialog with the manufacturer and the operator will provide visitors with comprehensive insights from real life.
Wayzim will showcase its optimized four-way shuttle intelligent handling device that supports four-way movements, instant direction change, automatic handling, intelligent monitoring and dynamic traffic management. The tote four-way shuttle has high application value in the 2C e-commerce, clothing and footwear and retail industries, which have many categories and high requirements for storage capacity, splitting and picking. Both shuttles have been upgraded in terms of flexibility and stability, providing more advantageous support for intelligent warehousing and logistics solutions.
