Shöpping, the online marketplace from Austrian Post, will expand into the German market at the end of 2024, enabling merchants to sell goods and products to both German and domestic customers.
Shöpping will also continue stepping up its acquisition of retailers from the European Union who would like to offer their goods in Austria and Germany.
“With our expansion into Germany, we are killing two birds with one stone,” explained Robert Hadzetovic, managing director of Shöpping. “Our domestic retailers can increase their sales area tenfold and thus significantly boost their turnover. As we have also been seeing increasing demand from German customers for Austrian products for some time now, this step will allow us to make our online marketplace accessible to a wider audience.”
Shöpping will offer German customers access to a variety of products, and since last year has also enabled selected international suppliers from the EU to offer their products on the e-commerce marketplace.
In addition to expansion, Shöpping is also working on expanding data interfaces to offer its retailers faster and easier data connection options. Since May 2024, Shöpping has offered two new interfaces to the cloud-based multi-channel tools Tradebyte and ChannelPilot.
