DPD Germany has restructured its management team following the promotion of Thomas Ohnhaus (left) as the new chief operating officer (COO).
Ohnhaus has operated as regional managing director south since 2013 and has been closely involved in shaping the company’s development in southern Germany. He will now report to Boris Winkelmann, CEO of DPD Germany, and will continue with the group’s harmonization following the unification of all the company’s subsidiaries. This includes the former franchisees DPD Systemlogistik and DPD Zeitfracht.
Winkelmann said, “Over many years, Thomas Ohnhaus has built up a strong record in management at DPD, and he has a unique knowledge of the company’s operating processes and structures. I’m delighted that his experience and drive he will help to make our company even more efficient and successful.”
Ohnhaus will now be responsible for all the company’s operating processes in Germany and will be supported by Dr Jörg Schmeidler (northern regions), Günter Pfaff (southern regions) and Philipp Anhalt (central operations).
Elsewhere, Martin Klink, a newcomer to DPD, also assumed the post of chief financial officer (CFO) at the start of the year. He replaces Dr Philip Nölling who left the company by mutual agreement to take up a new professional challenge in his home city of Hamburg.
A qualified industrial engineer, Klink has more than 20 years of experience in the finance and investment field, with a range of enterprises in the technology and finance sector, most recently managing his own investment company.
In addition to Winkelmann, the newly formed DPD management team in Germany consists of Ohnhaus (COO) and Klink (CFO), together with chief sales officer (CSO) Andreas Reß and Dirk Müller (human resources and legal).
